Ministries at The Bridge

Assimilation ministry is responsible and accountable for all new contacts of The Bridge. Its main focus is on connecting, keeping, retaining, and building relationships with the people who come through the church doors or connect with us in other ways.

Evangelism ministry is responsible for keeping the passion of winning the lost a priority. Its main focus is to help facilitate evangelism in each department by reaching out to our communities. This team will do this by teaching, training and resourcing.

Our goal is that no one is missed and that everyone receives an appropriate level of care. No one should be left without a person to whom they can turn in times of pastoral need.

This ministry is responsible for all members, guests and new converts that come to The Bridge. The main focus of this ministry should be on connecting, retaining and building relationships with the people who come to The Bridge. This is done by getting the new members connected to Life Groups. Classes and curriculum will be made available to all ages to help facilitate the 5 D’s to Destiny journey.

The Gap challenge is to build into the students’ hearts the sense that God has a specific call and destiny for their lives when they are completely surrendered to His will. Successful youth ministry must incorporate this concept of the call of God into our students’ development with Christ. Jesus calls us to follow Him. He will change us from what we are into what He has designed us to be. This is the transforming model that must be communicated to our students. Leading them into a “following” relationship is a must. The call of God impacts every strata of the believer’s life.
The Gap also has a focus on the future. The only way to ensure lasting discipleship is to teach, preach, and model a life surrendered to God. However, this cannot be accomplished alone. We need staff that will replicate our vision, duplicate our leadership and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to this generation.

It is impossible to guarantee that anyone, even someone raised in a Christian environment, will come to faith in Christ. It has even been shown that the older one is, the less likely it is that they will believe.
Kid’s Zone is our opportunity to introduce children to their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Kid’s Zone teaches children Biblical truths as early as the age of 2 and 3 (as long as they are potty-trained) through the age of 12.
Kid’s Zone teaches principles…
Effective teaching isolates and communicates a principle, not just the details of a Bible story. The result is that children remember a single, powerful idea each week.
Kid’s Zone is exciting…
A variety of teaching methods are used for each weekly lesson - incorporating review quizzes, games, puppets, videos, music, stories, lessons, illustrated sermons, costume characters and more.
Kid’s Zone builds relationships…
Kids need a hero. We desire to be someone that kids can relate to, look up to and imitate. That's our goal. That means that Kid’s Zone workers are constantly growing and maturing in the Lord as well.
Kid’s Zone challenges…We believe that every person, young or old, has a great destiny in the body of Christ. Serving God is the first priority in our lives and we encourage our kids to make serving the Lord the FIRST priority in their lives.

This is where young boys and girls come together to have fun, build relationships and explore God’s word. As they explore His word they will discover a powerful relationship with Christ and others. Also, they will discover the purpose and plan God has for their lives. As they pursue God’s plan and purpose, our leadership will be there to help direct and equip them for their future.

Destiny Children's Development Center is in existence to extend the children's ministry of The Bridge. We do this by blending the natural attraction of a quality childcare program with our desire to provide an introductory foundation of Biblical knowledge. Our priority to provide a safe and healthy environment for your children while encouraging them to have fun, build relationships and discover God's World around them as they grow.

Our goal is to create an atmosphere that is pleasing to the Lord as we come together to worship and glorify our Lord, Jesus Christ. People will sense the love and conviction of the Holy Spirit. As they experience and practice His presence they will take that presence everywhere they go.

The church recognizes the inherent value of prayer to discern God’s vision, leadership and plan toward a ministry that reproduces leaders. This ministry keeps the concerns of
this body of believers before the Lord.

The women meet once a month to minister to the younger women and to each other. Their goal is to be an example to the younger generations, guiding and equipping them to be the godly women, mothers and spouses they are called to be. They are also there to model servant leadership in the local church and in their communities.

The men meet once a month to minister to the younger men and to each other. Their goal is to be an example to the younger generations, guiding and equipping them to be the godly men, fathers and spouses they are called to be. They are also there to model servant leadership in the local church and in their communities.

“The Young at Heart” ministry incorporates the wisdom, knowledge and experience of the seniors in the church to help minister and equip people of younger generations. Their vision is to help others be all that God wants them to be. In this ministry, seniors also minister to one another and help each other keep focused on, and engaged in, the vision and future of The Bridge.

This ministry’s goal is to keep the buildings and grounds looking their best as to glorify the Lord in being good stewards of what He has given us. First impressions are so important to visitors, and we want this body of believers to be proud of where they worship.
