Destiny Daycare

Destiny Children's Development Center is in existence to extend the children's ministry of "The Bridge" by blending the natural attraction of a quality childcare program with our desire to provide an introductory foundation of Biblical knowledge for the children and influence them and their families with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It will be our priority to provide a safe and healthy environment for your children while encouraging them to have fun, build relationships and discover God's World around them as they grow.

Destiny Children's Development Center offers care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.

Infant Care

Our children ages 6 weeks to 18 months spend the day having their needs met by dedicated trained staff with a special place in their hearts for infants. We practice the "back to sleep" program, and also work with them on learning new things as they grow developmentally. A daily log sheet is kept for each infant to inform the parent of what they ate that day and how much, when they were diapered as well as other activities that they did throughout the day.

 

Preschool Care

We offer preschool curriculum everyday from 9:00-11:00 called "Fireflies" with our children ages 18 months to 5 years old. Each day begins with "circle time". During this time children discuss the days of the week as well as the month and the year. They talk about the weather that day and any special holidays. The curriculum introduces children to the basic shapes, colors, the alphabet and numbers 1-20. They learn how to say them, recognize them, and even write them.

Spanish is integrated into the curriculum along with simple sign language and includes science activities and even creative ideas for dramatic play. Each week there is a minimum of 2 craft projects along with ideas for more throughout the week. A parent letter is sent home at the beginning of the month to explain themes and activities that will be focused on throughout the month. A weekly letter is sent home on Mondays with a more detailed description of activities that will take place that week. There is a list of activities that parents can do with their children at home that coincides along with some of the activities done at our center. As with our infants children ages 18 months to 4 years old have a daily log sheet filled out by their teachers to inform parents about their child's day while at Destiny.

School Age Care

We provide care for children before and after school, on no school days, and during the summer. Our staff walk the children to and from Meadowlane school each day, if inclement weather would present itself we will transport Meadowlane students in the van to and from school. On school breaks we have planned themes and activities such as color days, pajama day, backwards day and favorite storybook character days. During the summer the school age children get to go to Bethany Park at least once a week for a picnic and to play, and walk to Meadowlane Pool to swim from 1:00-3:00 three days a week. We have an area outside designated just for our school age children to do games and outside activities such as basketball, dodge ball and relay games.

 

* If your child does not attend school at Meadowlane we can not be responsible to see that your children get to and from school each day.

 

Destiny Children's Development Center Daily & Weekly Tuition Rates

School Age Room Age 5 - 12 Years of Age

1st Grade on up:

• Payment is charged by enrollment, not attendance, should your child be absent due to illness or visiting family, your weekly tuition is still necessary. Attendance for part of a day will be billed as an entire day.
• A full day of care is considered anything over 6 hours and less than 9 hours.  If your child should be in our care over 9 hours, you will be billed at the hourly rate of $3.50 per hour.
• Transportaion is not provided as a service, however, in inclement weather, staff may drop off or pick up children to or from school in the center's van.  This will be provided at no charge.
• We accept Title XX recipients and our center participates in the state food program mandate through the education department
